The Reseller's Checklist for Vetting Any Mystery Box Seller
Sourcing inventory from a seller you haven't vetted is how resale side hustles die young. Whether it's us or anyone else, run this checklist before a mystery box enters your supply chain.
The twelve checks
- Condition standard stated per tier, in plain language
- Value figures labeled as estimates, shown as ranges
- No specific items teased ("could contain a PS5!" = walk away)
- Example categories disclosed, with images marked representative
- Real business contact: support email, contact page, response-time promise
- Written damage policy with a concrete claim window
- Mainstream payment processing (Stripe/PayPal), never wire or crypto
- Published shipping method and timeframe, tracked
- Terms and privacy pages that exist and read like they were written on purpose
- Pricing that liquidation math can actually support (2–4× estimated value multiples, not 10×)
- No fake urgency mechanics — countdown timers and "3 left!!" on an assortment product are theater
- Consistent story across site, listings, and socials
Why resellers should be pickier than shoppers
A disappointed shopper loses one box's price. A reseller who builds a supply line on a bad source loses weeks of listings, feedback score, and possibly marketplace standing when undisclosed returns get sold as new. Your sourcing reputation is your selling reputation.
Where we stand
Every check above is either printed on our tier tickets or one click away in the footer — that's deliberate. Vet us exactly this hard, then hold everyone else to the same bar.
